2013/05 - First Monitoring Meeting of the REAGRITECH

The first Monitoring Meeting of the REAGRITECH project was held on last May 14th at the building TR14 Gaia of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. Barcelona Tech. (UPC), where members from all 3 partners of the project were present. Coordinated by the UNESCO Chair in Sustainability the meeting counted with the participation of the Spanish leader engineering company TYPSA, the Technologic Center LEIETAT, and Mariona Salvatella in representation of Astrale GEIE, an external company that assists the European Commission with the monitoring of the projects that belong to the LIFE program.

During the monitoring event the partners of the project presented their entities to the representative of the Commission which was followed by a brief resume of the project REAGRITECH LIFE11 ENV/ES/579 (Regeneration and Reuse of runoff and drainage water in agricultural plots by combined natural water treatment systems).


The main objective of the meeting was to check the actual state of the planned activities as well as of the technical and administrative areas of the project. Finally, the communication and dissemination plan for the activities was assessed describing the different tools that are to be used.


Mariona Salvatella, monitoring expert of the company ASTRALE GEIE presented the LIFE+ program. Followed by Jordi Morató, Coordinator of the UNESCO Chair in Sustainability (CUS) at the UPC, and Patricia Mar Caro, representative of TYPSA, that made the technical presentation and the dissemination plan of the actual state of the project. Finally, the technical secretary of the CUS Brent Villanueva presented the actual financial state of the REAGRITECH project.


It was concluded that work should be focused on the inception report and the development of the monitoring plan, which will be presented and approved on the next meeting of the project.
